We love God, We love learning, We love each other...

Year 3 hosted Spanish Day!

All Saints' Day - 1st November

We researched different saints and made saint crafts to celebrate the Feast Day.

October is the Month of the Rosary

We made our very own Rosary Beads out of pipe cleaners and beads.

Y3 Footballers!

So proud of these boys representing our school in the tournament - well done!

PE in Year 3

Year 3 2022-23

Here we are in September and we are so happy to have your children back in school. We would like to take this opportunity to welcome your child into Year 3 and we are excited and enthusiastic to get stuck in to learning again.

Mrs Giordani will be teaching all day Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning. We are lucky enough to have Soccer Stars taking our PE lessons on a Friday afternoon and Mrs Killoran will teach Monday all day.

Water bottles and snacks – please ensure that your child has a labelled water bottle in school. This needs to be taken home each day and refilled. Children can bring in a piece of fruit to eat at break time if they wish.

PE will be on Fridays

PE will be outside for the first half-term, so children will need to bring something warm such as a black/blue tracksuit or black/blue leggings and a hoodie, with a plain white t-shirt underneath. We would advise wearing trainers rather than pumps for safety. Please ensure your child has spare socks in their PE bag if the weather is wet.

Anna’s Dance will be on Wednesdays at 9am for six weeks

Please send your child to school in their PE kit (same as above) and bring their uniform to change into afterwards.

Reading books – reading books will be sent home on Fridays. Please ensure book bags are back in school on Thursdays.

Spellings -  will be sent home on a Friday and children will be tested on the Thursday after.

Homework – it is really important that the children read every night and practise their spellings and times tables at home. Your support with these activities is very much appreciated. The children will bring TTRS sheets home on a Friday which need to be completed and returned to school on the following Thursday.

If you have any queries then please email us at: year3@smrc-lit.co.uk or ring school and leave a message and we will return your call.

Many thanks,

Mrs Giordani and Mrs Killoran
